Dated 1869. Gothic, rectangular-plan school hall. Stugged sandstone; deep base course; stone mullions. Slightly advanced eaves; exposed rafters. Trefoil-headed, 2-light windows.
W (MAIN) ELEVATION: 4 near-symmetrical bays. Bell-cast gabled porch to outer right, timber on sandstone base; shouldered arch 2-leaf chevron boarded door. 3 2-light windows symmetrically disposed directly below eaves.
S ELEVATION: 3-light window at centre, datestone plaque above, flag-pole. Lean-to porch to outer right, boarded door, letterbox fanlight.
Timber lying-pane sash and case windows. Steeply-pitched graded grey slate roof, lead flashings, candlesnuffer spirelet, fleche at centre ridge, wooden base, fish-scale slates, finial.
WALL AND RAILINGS: low plinth wall with simple hoop cast-iron railings and posts.
The school is shown on the 1st edition map. It was built for the Luss estates. It is in the style of E B Lamb.
