Late 18th century. 2-storey 3-bay house, with later lean-to addition. Natural harling and harl-pointed rubble to side.
S ELEVATION: bays grouped towards centre; door with cement rendered surround, flanked by windows; window to each bay at 1st floor.
Slate roof lean-to to W gable with blank wall above. 1st floor window to E gable.
4-pane glazing pattern to sash and case windows. Ashlar coped skews; end stacks; red pantiles white slate eaves course to steeply pitched roof.
A good example of a late 18th century house, retaining original details, dwarfed by closely sited 19th century former United Presbyterian Church, for which it previously served as the manse, until circa 1858 when the new manse was built at 7 Edinburgh Road.
