Description

Late 19th century F.P. church with hood-moulded round-arched openings, and occupying corner site. 5-bay nave; low (?vestry) renage at west gable, with 3-bay front to Scotland Street, links to modern hall, whose front gable window is also round-arched. Modern dry-dash, painted ashlar margins and other detail including open-domed apex belfry on gabled main entrance front facing Matheson Street, which also has centre 2-leaf door, flanking windows and stepped 3-light gallery window. Margined, small-paned glazing; second door placed on flank to Scotland Street, squeezed in between bays 4 and 5, and square-headed. Slate roofs, barge-boarded and louvred dormer ventilators (2 to north, one to south). Enclosed by cast-iron railed boundary walls, original 2-leaf gateway and cast-iron piers at main entrance.
