Description

Mid Victorian Gothic, derived from Alexander Thomson's

'Seymour Lodge' in Blackies 'Villa and Cottage Architecture'. Single-storey and attic snecked rubble detached villa gabled

section to left has ground floor canted bay with trefoiled

iron cresting pointed arch tripartite over ground floor

rectangular tripartite bay to right centre cantilevered

pentice doorpiece with slim shafts. 2 gabled dormers, segment

headed tripartite to right, depressed pointed arch at centre.

Slated roof, bracketted eaves.

Statement of Interest

Part of Kings Park Conservation Area group. The area is

an outstanding early to late Victorian villa development with

remarkably few later additions.
