Dated 1859. Italianate 2-storey asymmetrical rubble-built
villa with 3-storey pyramid roofed tower; canted bays at
ground floor, arched entrance door with pediment over, paired
small arched windows at top stage of tower, broad eaves, low
pitched slated roofs. Single-storey coursed rubble detached
(billiard?) room to Clarendon Place rectangular plan with
rounded angles, and 2 shouldered tripartites containing
stained glass, outshots with pierced parapets in simple St
Andrews Cross pattern both ends, main roof bracketted and
platformed with 2 ogee rooflights. Unusual chimney composed
of interlocking octagons.
Part of Kings Park Conservation Area group. The area is
an outstanding early to late Victorian villa development with
remarkably few later additions.
