Circa 1800, heavily restored in recent years. 3-storey 3-bay tenement. Ashlar sandstone with advanced cills. Door at ground to far right in moulded surround, boarded door with 3-pane fanlight. Regular fenestration flanking and in upper floors.
12-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof. Mutual stack with neighbour to left; gablehead of taller Nos 16-18 overstepping to right.
Plain and traditional, the tenement is included for group value with its neighbour along this main route to the Castle.
