Description

Early 19th century. 3-storey, 3-bay terraced tenement with shop at ground and pend. Painted ashlar with painted render at ground. Base course, fascia band, eaves band, projecting cills.

S (BAKER STREET) ELEVATION: 4 bays at ground, shop door with fanlight flanked by 19th century shop windows, pend entrance to outer right against adjoining property. Regular fenestration above, smaller windows to 2nd floor.

Timber sash and case windows with 12-pane glazing, graded grey slates. Stack in W gable with 3 terracotta cans. Mutual stack in E gable with adjoining property.

Statement of Interest

B Group with Nos 4 and 6, 10 and 12, 14, 18, 24 and 26, 28 and 30, 9 and 11, 13 and 15, 27 and 29, 31, 33 and 35, 37 and 39, 49 and 51 Baker Street. Good traditional terraced tenement with pend, part of an effective streetscape at the burgh's core.
