Earlier 19th century, probably incorporating earlier fabric. Terraced pair of different 2-storey 3-bay houses with shops at ground. Rendered with painted ashlar margins. Base course.
NO 11: steep pitch of rooof suggests 18th century origin. At ground, door at centre; modern shop window and door to right; bipartite window to left. At 1st floor, central window flanked by bipartite windows. Cast-iron rooflight. Dormers to rear.
Timber sash and case plate glass windows. Steeply pitched roof; grey slates; concrete skews; massive rendered apex stack with thackstanes.
NO 15: at ground, pend at left giving access to house; 2 windows at centre; shop to right with 2-leaf panelled door and plate glass window. At 1st floor, 3 windows. Cast-iron rooflight. Major extension to rear.
4-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slates; brick apex stack; moulded cast-iron eaves gutter.
INTERIORS: unseen 1994.
There is evidence of considerable age to these buildings, notably the spectacular stack at No 11.
