Description

Mid 19th century. 2-storey symmetrical bank house. Walling of

large bull-faced granite blocks, polished granite dressings.

Main elevation 3-bay with advanced gabled bays flanking

narrower polished granite gabled entrance bay.

Deeply recessed central doorway flanked by consoles

supporting balustrade. All windows sash and case, to ground

with flat architraves, consoled cornice; lower sash single

pane, upper sash 6-pane glazing pattern. To 1st floor windows

in moulded architraves, 4-pane glazing.

Outer bays with polished-granite band course over ground, bracket-skewputts at eaves. Centre bay with simple scrolled

gable with cartouche tympanum. Spike finials to all 3 gables.

Slate roofs, tall paired octagonal cans. To right

single-storey 2-bay wing, slated piended roofs, 12-pane

sashes in architraves.
