Early 19th century. 3-storey and attic, 4-bay tenement in irregular terrace with shops at ground. Lined bull-faced render to front, rubblestone to rear, plain margins.
E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: pend entrance to centre at ground, modern shopfront to right, plate glass, 19th century shopfront to left, door to right recessed, low stall riser to left, plate glass, pilasters and consoles, regular fenestration at 1st and 2nd floors, bays off-set slightly to right, 2 canted dormers.
N ELEVATION: adjoining 140 High Street.
S ELEVATION: adjoining 150 High Street.
W ELEVATION: single storey addition adjoining, door to left in pend, 3 bays closely set to right at 1st and 2nd floors, 1 bay to extreme left, dormer to right, brick repairs, tie bars and plates.
Timber sash and case windows to front, plate glass glazing variety of sash and case and casement to rear. Grey slate; stone skews; rendered longitudinal ridge stack, brick gablehead stack to N.
INTERIOR: not seen 1997.
An adjoining building to the rear has recently been demolished leaving vestiges of its gable end upon the west wall.
