Earlier 19th century, possibly incorporating earlier fabric. 2-storey house in close, asymmetrical plan, harled.
S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: older 3-bay house to right, 2 windows to left at ground, modern door to right, window to left at 1st, flat-roofed section to left advanced, 5-flight stone steps with wrought-iron handrails leading to pilastered and corniced doorpiece, recessed door, rectangular fanlight, set obliquely in re-entrant angle, bowed projection to left, basement window, multi-pane, stained and etched glass window above in raised principal floor, window to left.
Timber sash and case windows; 4-pane, plate glass and border-glazed small-pane to bow. Brown machine tiles to pitched roof; brick gablehead stack to W, harled stack to centre of S elevation of section to W.
INTERIOR: not seen 1997. Good Regency detailing.
BOUNDARY WALLS: rubblestone boundary walls to rear extending W.
