Circa 1800. 3-storey, 4-bay tenement in irregular terrace with shop at ground, lined render to front, harled to rear, plain margins.
E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: 19th century shopfront to right at ground, central recessed door, flanking plate glass windows, pend to left, bays framed by attached cast-iron? columns with floreate capitals, moulded panel with number above door and pend, decorative steel gate to pend, panelled door hinged to right beyond, regular fenestration at 1st and 2nd floors.
N ELEVATION: adjoining 20 High Street.
S ELEVATION: adjoining 28 High Street.
W ELEVATION: stone forestair to left, part enclosed, leading to doorway at 1st pend to right, double shutter type doors within, single bay above pend, window at 1st and 2nd floors.
INTERIOR: not seen 1997.
Plate glass, timber sash and case windows to E. Grey slates to E roof pitch, brown machine tiles to W pitch; tall and broad brick stacks on party walls to N and S; cast-iron rainwater goods, decorative cast-iron brackets. 19th century rooflight.
