Built partly pre, partly post 1885, 2-storey and attic,
irregular 7-bay front, central and northern recessed.
Whinstone with ashlar dressings and rusticated quoins. Porch
in re-entrant angle at north; round-arched doorway flanked by
composite pilasters, fretwork valence at eaves, cast-iron
balcony, incised glass. Ground and 1st floor windows linked
by bas-relief panels; round heads to 1st floor, all
bipartites except 2nd and 5th bays from south with 2-storey
canted bays and wide barge-boarded gables. Deep eaves,
fretted valences. Piended, platformed slate roofs; tall
cornice end stacks.
Decorative, channelled sandstone gate-piers (one damaged)
with segmentally pedimented caps; good cast-iron gates.
Northern part built by 1885.
