Circa 1840 with later alterations. 2-storey and attic, 5-bay, asymmetrical plain L-plan pair of houses forming small terrace. Eaves course. Painted cement-rendered and lined; harled at rear. Painted margins to openings. Strip quoins.
NW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: bays grouped 2-3. 3-bay group to right, (Number 14): pilastered and corniced doorpiece at ground in bay to centre; deep-set timber panelled door with large fanlight; window at 1st floor above. Window at each floor in bay to right. Bipartite window at ground in bay to left; single window at 1st floor above. 2-bay group to left, (Number 12): deep-set, part-glazed architraved door at ground in bay to right. Window at each floor in bay to left.
SW (SIDE, NUMBER 14) ELEVATION: 2-bay gabled block to left window at ground and 1st floors to left; attic window to right; gablehead stack above. 3-bay block set back to right: modern door with light flanking in bay to left; window at 1st floor above. Window at ground in each bay remaining.
4-pane timber sash and case windows; evenly disposed rooflights toNW pitch. Concrete tiled roof; cement-rendered and lined, corniced gablehead and ridge stacks; uPVC and cast-iron rainwater goods.
INTERIORS: not seen, 1998.
BOUNDARY WALLS AND RAILINGS: low painted, cement-rendered and lined wall along NW elevation; ridged stone cope; decorative, cast-iron spear-headed railings with 2 similar pedestrian gates.
A small terrace of two dwellings possibly a single house extended. Number 14 has a good-quality doorpiece and the pair retains fine, intact railings.
