This is a good example of a little externally altered and well-detailed early 19th century townhouse with good classical detailing. The pedimented and pilastered doorpiece adds grandeur to the building and the whole adds significantly to the streetscape of this area of Kirkcudbright.
List description updated 2010, to include 2 bays to left, formerly listed as 14a High Street.
