Early and earlier 19th century possibly incorporating earlier fabric and reworked as one later. 2-storey 7-bay pair of houses, now united as single office; 4-bay earlier block to right slightly lower. Rendered with painted ashlar dressings; base course; moulded cill course at 1st floors (steps down to right). Windows to all bays; cornices at ground; moulded eaves.
NO 27: 3-bay; bay to outer right with panelled door and rectangular fanlight; pedimented, architraved doorframe.
NO 25: 4-bay; oculi to outer left bay (floating cornice at ground); inner left bay with closed panelled door, upper horizontal panel glazed as fanlight; cornice as windows. Rear rebuilt with gable end and attic. 4-pane timber sash and case windows. Cast-iron downpipe with decorative rainwater head at centre. Flat leaded skews with ball finial to central gable; grey slates.
Contributes to a continuous group. The floating cornice is reminiscent of an equally quirky cill to vesicas at 4 Boundaries, Jedburgh. (see separate listing).
