Description

Earlier 19th century incorporating earlier fabric. 2-storey 3-bay coursed rubble sandstone terraced house; bays grouped to centre. Step to modern glazed door at centre. Regular fenestration.

4-pane timber sash and case glazing; ashlar skews; brick stacks; grey slates; cast-iron downpipes.

Statement of Interest

Part of a continuous group with 74 and 76 Castlegate (see separate listings). The rubbly pattern of the stonework suggests that the lower storey may be earlier, with the bay pattern maintained when raised to 2-storey.
