Description

Late 18th century with later alterations. 2-storey 3-bay terraced house; squared and snecked rubble; ashlar and cement-render dressings; steps to modern door at centre; broad enlarged flanking bipartite windows with timber mullions. Small single windows to 1st floor, with cloakroom window to left of centre.

Rear elevation with piend-roofed 2-storey wing to left and flat-roofed extension to right.

Variety of timber sash and case windows (plate glass, 4 and 8-pane). Mutual ashlar coped skew to right; grey slates; rendered stack.

Statement of Interest

Part of continuous terraced group with 81 to 91 Castlegate. Access to upper storey - it originally being a flatted house - via door in 89 Castlegate (see separate listings).
