Description

William Lawrie (at Inverness office of James Matthews), 1863. Italianate, ashlar. 3 storeys and attic. 16-bay Union

Street front; at ground floor shopfronts; at 1st floor,

3rd and 14th windows tripartite with round-arched lights,

other windows architraved with consoled cornices; at 2nd

floor, windows with lugged architraves, 3rd and 14th windows

tripartite. Bowed corners. 4-bay front to Drummond Street,

3-bay front to Church Street. Segmental-headed wallhead

dormers. Additions to roof at east end, Erskine, Thomson &

Glass, Perth, 1937.
