and attic. Coursed rubble, partly harled; gabled; slate
roofs. Ashlar chimneys. Wing added at S. Gabled
projecting bay on N. Interior: 4 vaulted cells on each
floor, opening off vaulted corridor except in attic
which consists of one long cell.
Built for male offenders. Legalised 1848. Improved 1871.
