Description

Alexander Cullen, circa 1904. 3-storey, asymmetrical 'Glasgow style' tenement with shops at ground floor. Cream sandstone ashlar, slate roof. Partially corbelled ground floor cornice, wallhead course, corniced stacks with uniform terracotta cans. Single, bipartite and canted windows with sash and case glazing, plate glass to bottom, 4 and 6-pane to top (2nd floor with out-of-character modern frames). Round-headed close door with fanlight and consoled segmental canopy at ground floor right, 3 altered shopfronts; cornice bipartite window to 1st floor, pedimented bipartite with decorative apron to 2nd, flanked by outshot stacks rising from ground floor cornice through wallhead, single window to both floors at left and right, 4-light canted window with coped crenellated parapet to far left, similar 3-light window to far right.
