Late 19th century, for Caledonian Railway. Former entrance arch to Hamilton Station. Cream sandstone ashlar. Keystoned round-headed arch with channelled piers, corniced parapet; coped wall to left with channelled angle pier; low coped wall (railings removed) curved to far left terminating with pyramidal ashlar pier.
The adjoining parapet to the road bridge over the railway has decorative cast-iron panels.
