Probably 1829, with later 19th century alterations. 2-storey
and attic, symmetrical 3-bay E facing house. Harl pointed
rubble, tooled grey granite dressings and margins. Centre
door; long/short angle quoins; moulded eaves cornice with
blocking course. 3 later 19th century wallhead dormer
windows with wooden pediments; 2- and 4-pane glazing;
quoins; coped end stacks; slate roof.
Gate piers; 2 pairs square granite gate piers with simple
pyramidal caps each side of building, linked to house
frontage by low coped walls with spearhead cast-iron railings.
Former National Bank.
Different masonry at gable heads suggest the building
originally had piended roof. Gable ends appear to have
been heightened in later 19th century, affording greater
attic accommodation lit by later 19th century dormers.
