Originally the central section of the facade of the Assembly Rooms in Ingram Street, it was moved to the London Road entrance to Glasgow Green in 1894 at the expense of Baillie James McLennan. After a further move to Charlotte Street in 1922, it was rebuilt in its present position facing the old High Court in 1991.
