Description

Robert Baldie, 1878, as Pollokshields Established
church, Large nave-and-aisles gothic church with lofty
entrance tower at street corner. Stugged and snecked
ashlar with polished dressings; slate roofs; tower has 4
square stages with angle buttresses and belfry,
lucarned broach spire with clock to elevations; large
traceried window in gable to Albert Drive, with arcaded
vestibule lights, door either side (in tower and in
stair bay fronting side aisle); HALL at N has stepped
3-light window in advanced (W) gable to street. Some
figurative leaded glass panels. Enclosed by cast-iron
gates and railings, gabletted gatepiers. War memorial
within enclosure listed separately.
