Description

James Smith, 1837. 2 storeys and basement, 6 bays, arranged
1-4-1, outer bays advanced. Polished ashlar. Graduated
plinth. Central entrance with boldly projecting arch on
corniced brackets. Windows in architraves, arched casements
at ground floor, sash and case at 1st floor; 1 plain basement
window to right of entrance. Ground floor cill band, plain
entablature. 1st floor Corinthian pilastered full-height
aedicules in outer bays, pedimented with acroteria surmounted
by anthemion with scroll supports; central bays divided by
pilasters coupled in centre; 1st floor aprons. Pierced die
parapet to central bays.
