James Boucher, 1875. Free Renaissance. 4-storey, 4-bay
commercial building with ground floor shop from front to rear
converted to public house. Near identical facade to West Nile
Street and Nelson Mandela Place. Sash and case windows; 1st
floor arched and keyblocked, droved spandrels; 2nd floor
arcaded with granite columns, diapered spandrels; 3rd floor
pilastered. Boldly projecting console bracketted balconies at
2nd and 3rd floor with cast-iron balustrades; cast-iron
parapets. Ionic pedimented doorpiece to upper offices in St
George's Place.
Columned interior, ground floor.
