Circa 1800. 4-storeys and attic, 5-bay with 4-bay
elevation to Brunswick Street. Originally domestic and
commercial use. Painted ashlar. Modern arcaded ground
floor to Garth Street elevation, currently used for
windows and doors. Cill course to 1st floor, simple frieze
and cornice between 2nd and 3rd floors; blind central
window in 4th floor; 12-pane glazing pattern; eaves
cornice; 2 modern, canted dormers shouldered wallhead
stack. 4-bay gable end; apex stack; ashlar coped skews.
Slate roof.
Listed category C(S) with number 7 and 9 Garth Street, as
surviving remnants of Georgian development, providing setting
for earlier Trades House (listed separately in Glassford
Street). Currently under conversion to 6 flats (1988).
