Description

Charles Wilson, architect; 1840 with later alterations.
Asymmetrical 2-storey villa with single storey wing and
conservatory to W. Droved ashlar with polished margins,
quoins and basecourse, all windows with raised margins.
Plain doorway set in SE re-entrant angle. Advanced bay to
right with carefully balanced window arrangement: 2 4-pane
windows at ground flank blind arched opening, 2 smaller
2-pane windows above flank blind window, heavy bracketted
cornice. Otherwise, plain eaves cornice. Continuous band
course at 1st floor cills. Sash windows with a variety of
glazing patterns.
At rear, modern external steps to upper floor (converted
circa 1956). Tall corniced stacks, octagonal cans. Piended
slate roof with tile cresting.
Interior much altered; egg and dart cornice to ground floor
S room.
