Description

Earlier 19th century. Single storey, 3-bay entrance lodge;
rubble with polished ashlar dressings. Advanced centre
portico with pediment supported by pair Roman Doric columns
and pair of pilasters flanking doorway. Eaves band; cornice
and blocking course; renewed centre chimney; shallow piended
slate roof.
4 square rusticated ashlar gatepiers with cast-iron gates.
Cast-iron railings with fleur-de-lis ornament.

Statement of Interest

Served former Forres House, destroyed by fire circa 1970.
