Description

Circa 1830, possibly William Robertson, Elgin. Classical
cottage with later additions; single storey, 3 wide bays;
harled, ashlar margins. Centre distyle in antis Doric
columned portico with pediment; monolith columns; recessed
door with flanking windows. Late 19th century rectangular
bay window to left (W); later 2-storey wing to rear, and to E
gable. Deep eaves; 4 coped symmetrical ridge stacks; shallow
piended slate roof to original house, slate roof elsewhere.

Statement of Interest

Site slopes to rear.

Cluny similar to Hazelwood, Mortlach Parish, also

thought to have been designed by William Robertson.
