Description

Dated 1815. 2-storey, 3-bay house with centre bay with
further 2-bay house to E, now as one dwelling. Gable end to
street. Rubble, tooled ashlar dressings. Coped end and ridge
stacks; slate roof. Fine pair decorated scroll skewputts to
Urquhart Street gable, one with date and both with attenuated
stylised nautilus shell motif on return elevation.

Statement of Interest

Nautilus shell motif peculiar to Forres, Rafford and

Findhorn in later 18th and 19th centuries.

Similar style skewputts to 30 High Street and Caroline Street

elevation of 69-71 High Street.
