Description

Thomas Mackenzie, 1844. Pinnacled mercat cross modelled on
the Scott Monument, Edinburgh. Stepped plinth, 4 octagonal
piers supporting pinnacles and arched to central pier.
Corbelled niches above with capping pinnacles; diminutive
tiered and gabletted centre pinnacle with crowning cross.

Statement of Interest

Foundation stone laid 19 February 1844.
