1842. Tooled rubble, tooled and polished ashlar
dressings. 2-storey house over raised basement, with
similar height wide single bay raised to 2 storeys in later
19th century; wing set back at E gable. Raised ground
floor entrance with simple pilastered doorpiece reached by
flight of steps; doorway flanked by projecting canted
windows at raised basement and ground floor height and
linked by ashlar parapet raised in centre and supported
by pair ashlar pilasters; decorative cast-iron balustrade
encloses verandah.
Raised 1st floor window in wing set in round-headed
recess and linked to window below and gabled dormer
above by ashlar facing.
All windows retain original lying-pane glazing in upper
sashes.
Coped end stacks; shallow piended slate roofs.
INTERIOR: little survives of interest.
GARDEN WALLS. House enclosed by coped rubble garden
walls. Carriage entrance flanked by simply gatepiers.
Built by William Young of Burghead in 1829 on whose death in
1842 it passed to his nephew, also William Young. Canted
bays windows and verandah probably date from 1842.

Fleurs House with single storey and basement wing set
back at each gable.
Fleurs House is now a nursing home.
