Description

Circa 1880. 5-storey corner tenement with Jacobean details. Squared and snecked sandstone with polished dressings. Base course; cill course at 1st floor; corbel table and string course at 4th floor; 4th floor windows breaking eaves in pediments; raised window surrounds; chamfered reveals.

N WARRENDER PARK TERRACE elevation: 6-bay, including canted angle bay. Paired basket-arched doorways set in basket-arched opening in 3rd bay; panelled doors; border-glazed fanlights; advanced bipartite windows corbelled out at 1st and 2nd floors above; bipartite windows at 3rd and 4th floors; semi-circular finialled pediemnt with flanking dies and finials. 3-light canted angle bay with chimneybreasts flanking to left and right; broken pediments to 1st floor lights; finialled broken pediments to 4th floor windows; facetted pyramidal roof; finial. Full-height canted window in bay to outer right; broken pediment to central light at 1st floor; facetted pyramidal roof. Single windows in remaining bays; finialled broken pediments.

E SPOTTISWOODE STREET elevation: 2-bay. Pedimented doorway set to right of 2nd bay; panelled door; margin-paned fanlight. Advanced bipartite window at ground; bipartite windows at 1st and 2nd floors corbelled and canopied; bipartite window at 3rd floor; semi-circular pediment to single window at 4th floor. Single windows in 2nd bay; semi-circular pediment to 4th floor window. Rounded angle to outer left, adjoining neighbouring tenement; circular-section bartizan with single window at 4th floor; conical roof. Plate glass sash and case windows with divided upper panels. Grey slate roof; coped and rendered wallhead and mutual stacks; corniced gablehead stack to S.

INTERIORS: not seen 1991.
