Description

George Wilson, 1880. 4-storey, 4-bay tenement with Scottish Renaissance details, forming part of terrace. Squared and snecked cream sandstone with polished ashlar dressings. Base course; cill course at 1st floor; string course over blank tablet at 3rd floor; eaves cornice; raised window surrounds; chamfered reveals; advanced and pedimented surrounds to single windows at 3rd floor.

E ENTRANCE elevation: 2 shouldered and pilastered doorways with hoodmoulds in 2nd bay; panelled doors; border-glazed fanlights. Single windows above and in 3rd bay. Full-height canted windows in bays to outer left and right; pedimented and pilastered central lights at 1st floor; facetted roofs. Plate glass sash and case windows with divided upper sashes; replacements at ground floor to right and 1st floor to left. Grey-green slate roof; corniced wallhead stack, with gablets to N and S; stone finials to pedimented windows.

INTERIORS: not seen 1991.
