Description

Mid 19th century. 2-storey, irregular-plan Italianate villa. Squared and snecked sandstone with droved ashlar dressings. Base course; overhanging eaves; raised window surrounds with impost blocks; round-arched windows at 1st floor. W ENTRANCE elevation: sun porch in recessed entrance bay to outer right; original doorway behind with panelled door (upper panels glazed). 2 single windows at ground in bay to outer left; cast-iron palmette and anthemion balconette to bipartite window to 1st floor.

S ELEVATION: single window at ground in recessed bay to outer left; cast-iron palmette and anthemion balconette to single window at 1st floor above. Round-arched stair window in advanced bay.

N ELEVATION: flat-roofed garage at ground; single window at 1st floor.

E REAR elevation: lean-to at ground in recessed bay to outer left; single window at ground in advanced bay; 2 single windows at 1st floor with decorative cast-iron balcony. Small-pane sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; coped wallhead stacks.

INTERIOR: not seen 1991.

Low boundary wall to street, high coped rubble mutual walls.
