Description

Circa 1852. 2-storey, 3-bay L-plan Italianate villa, Squared and snecked cream sandstone with polished ashlar dressings. Base course; band course beneath eaves, overstepping 1st floor windows; raised window surrounds; overhanging eaves. W ENTRANCE elevation: open ashlar porch in re-entrant angle at centre; pilaster flanking doorway to left and chip-carved columns with engaged ball finials at cill height, advanced and flanking doorway to left and right; modillions to frieze; cornice with pierced parapet, forming balcony to 1st floor window; upturned pyramidal finials to parapet; stone bench; 2-leaf panelled door; divided fanlight. Tripartite window at ground in advanced gabled bay to outer right; single window at 1st floor. Single windows in bay to outer left. Modern flat-roofed garage advanced to outer right.

N ELEVATION: 2-bay. Single windows at 1st floor in both bays.

S ELEVATION: flat-roofed garage advanced at ground; single window at 1st floor centre. Margin-paned glazing pattern to sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; shouldered and corniced wallhead stacks; moulded octagonal cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1991.

BOUNDARY WALLS: low boundary wall to street; high coped mutual walls; low coped garden wall with die and ball finial, linked to porch.
