N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: advanced gabled entrance bay off-set to right of centre; deep-set 2 leaf panelled door single windows flanking doorway; 3 windows at 1st floor; single window in gablehead; stair window to right return; bipartite window and catslide dormer to left return. 4 windows at ground to left of entrance bay; 2 windows at 1st floor. Blank bay to right of entrance bay.
E ELEVATION: garage adjoining at ground; 2 windows at 1st floor.
W ELEVATION: 2 windows to ground and 1st floors.
S ELEVATION: roof swept down to ground floor in outer bays; central recessed 2-storey bay.
Small-pane sash and case windows (6-pane to N elevation). Grey slate roof with stone coping; low corniced ridge stacks.
INTERIOR: not seen 2001.
Designed for Mrs Edith Herdman Newton or Milligan. Easter Belmont Road is a group of large, idiosyncratic villas designed by high profile architects during the 1920s and 1930s including F Deas, B Orphoot, H Tarbolton, M Ochterlony, B Spence and W Kininmonth. The villas are representative of the international styles that influenced British architecture during the inter-war period.
