Former Edinburgh Board School built in 1913 on the edge of the King's Park with a spectacular view of Salisbury Crags opposite. It was named in honour of Colonel James Clark, Chairman of the Edinburgh School Board, who was killed in action in 1915, and was used as a garrison in the last year of the Great War, 1917-18. It served the children of the South Side and Dumbiedykes areas. It has been converted into private apartments.
