Dean of Guild plans are an application by Thomas Edmonstone to build the 3-storey warehouse in Edmonstone's Close, to the right at the rear, and show the already existing buildings, including the drum staircase. The warehouses to the rear were the former home of the Traverse Theatre, the scene of many important theatrical innovations in the 1970's.
