Description

1815. 2-storey and basement; 3-bay, symmetrical classical house; central bay advanced. Droved cream sandstone ashlar to ground and 1st floors; rubble to basement. Base course; cill course to 1st floor windows; cornice and blocking course.

N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central tripartite doorway; panelled door; plate glass fanlight; doric columns to corniced doorpiece. Single window to 1st floor above and in bays to outer left and right; ground floor windows set in round-arched panels.

4-pane, plate glass, timber, sash and case windows. Grey slate piended roof with platform; 2 ashlar coped stacks; moulded cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1995.

GATEPIERS AND BOUNDARY WALLS: high, coped rubble wall to street, lower in front of house; low wall to area; tall gatepiers with arched panels and concave pyramidal caps.
