Description

Early 19th century. 2-storey and basement, 6-bay symmetrical, pair of classical houses. Cream sandstone ashlar; rusticated ground floor to principal elevation; rubble sandstone to sides and rear. Base course; dividing band course; cill course to 1st floor windows; cornice and blocking course.

E (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: doorways in outer bays; panelled doors; plate glass fanlights; doric columns to corniced doorpieces; single windows above. Single windows to both floors in remaining bays.

Plate glass, timber sash and case windows. Grey slate piended roof; coped wallhead and mutual stacks with moulded cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1995.

BOUNDARY WALLS, GATEPIERS AND PEDESTRIAN GATES: low coursed and coped boundary walls to street; higher rubble coped mutual walls; replacement railings . Gatepiers with decorative caps to No 45. Timber pedestrian gates to N and S.
