Description

Early 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay symmetrical classical house. Cream sandstone ashlar; rubble sandstone to sides and rear. Blocking course.

W (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central doorway with panelled door; plate glass fanlight; pilastered, corniced doorpiece; single window to 1st floor above and in bays to outer left and right; ornate anthemion and palmette cast-iron window guards to 1st floor windows; ground floor windows with advanced cills.

E ELEVATION: later extension adjoining house.

Plate glass, timber sash and case windows. Grey slate piended roof; tall, coped wallhead stacks with octagonal moulded cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1995.

BOUNDARY WALLS, PIERS AND PEDESTRIAN GATES: low coursed boundary wall to street; replacement railings. Coursed, panelled boundary wall piers. Pedestrian gates adjoining house to N and S.
