Later 19th century. Terrace of 2-storey, 3-bay houses. Coursed sandstone with polished dressings. Base course; eaves cornice and blocking course. Entrances in left bays; timber panelled doors with plate glass fanlights in moulded surrounds with consoled cornices; Doric-pilastered architrave to No 24, later pediment to No 22. Regularly fenestrated (bipartites to right bay of No 8, tripartite to 2nd floor of No 22); windows in moulded architraves.
Predominantly plate glass in timber sash and case windows (8-pane glazing to Nos 12 and 24). Later slate-hung dormers (mostly tripartite) to attics. Cast-iron down pipes with decorative hoppers. Graded grey slates. Stone skews. Corniced stone stacks with circular cans.
BOUNDARY WALLS AND RAILINGS: low boundary walls to front gardens with some cast-iron railings.
Built from the W towards the E. The site is still shown as a rope walk on the 1853 OS map; 1877 OS map shows the terrace complete.
