Description

Mid 19th century. 14-bay, 3-storey and attic, rectangular-plan classical terrace. Polished sandstone ashlar. Painted doorpieces; Nos 5-9 painted at ground. Band course to ground floor at cornice level; architraved windows; lugged cills.

N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: Pilastered doorpieces to Nos 5, 9, 11 and 15; plain recessed doorways to Nos 7 and 13; panelled timber doors; plate glass fanlights. Single windows to intermediate and flanking bays at ground; regular fenestration at 1st and 2nd floors; windows to 2nd floor above entrances to Nos 7 and 15 blocked. 4 canted dormers to roof; 2 to centre, one to outer left and right.

Variety of single and 6-pane upper timber sash and case windows. Grey slate piended roof. Corniced wallhead stacks above entrances to Nos 7 and 13; coped mutual apex stacks with corniced cans. Cast-iron rainwater goods.

INTERIORS: not seen 1997.

BOUNDARY WALLS: coped, coursed boundary walls to street, mainly with replacement iron railings.
