Many generations of my family occupied 160 Canongate (main door) approx 120 years I believe or more. The last alive was Mr Alexander Burns who died approx 2003. In this photograph I am holding a telephone and am with two of my sisters and friends who also lived in Sugarhouse close. To get into the tiny garden you had to open the window and climb out. My Uncle Alex and Aunty Rena us to lift us down to play in the timy garden. The house still stands as does the green main door. It has lay unhabitated from my Uncle Alex Death. My family have many memories of this house. I use to live in 171 Canongate across the road. I hope this is of interest to someone
