Circa 1804. 2-storey, 7-bay classical terrace with raised basement and attic. Ashlar sandstone to front: polished and rusticated to ground floor (except for centre bay); stugged to basement and first floor; polished dressings. Squared and snecked rubble to gable wall; coursed and squared rubble to rear. Base course and band course; broken at centre bay; mutuled eaves cornice and blocking course. Projecting cills to 1st floor openings.
SW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical with main entrance doors grouped in centre bays; doors to outer bays at basement level. Round-arched doorways with panelled doors and round-headed radial fanlights in bays flanking square-headed centre door in recessed bay with rectangular plate glass fanlight. Regularly fenestrated; modern dormers over outer bays and bay to right of centre.
SE ELEVATION: gable wall.
NE ELEVATION: 3-storey, 6-bays grouped 1-2-2-1. Doors at ground floor bays 2, 3, 5 and 6. Remodelled dormers over bays 1, 3 and 5. Cast-iron downpipes.
TO FRONT: plate glass timber sash and case windows to ground floor and 1st floor bays 5, 6 and 7; 12-pane timber sash and case at centre 1st floor opening. To rear: mixture of modern glazing and original timber sash and case. Grey slate roof with ashlar skew copes. Multi-flue brick stacks with ashlar coping. Slate-hung and piended dormers.
3 separate flights of stone steps oversailing basements to doors with modern railings.
INTERIOR: not seen (1995).
BOUNDARY WALL: coursed rubble dwarf wall with ashlar coping to street.
