Description

Circa 1820 with later alterations. 2-storey, 4-bay classical terraced house. Finely droved ashlar, polished ashlar dressings; rubble to rear and extension. Base course, cill course to 1st floor, mutuled cornice, blocking course.

NW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: distribution of bays slightly irregular. Round-arched doorpiece in bay to right of centre comprised of deep-set panelled door with inset Doric columns, frieze and cornice surmounted by segmental plate glass fanlight; keystone to centre. Blinded window at 1st floor; windows to each floor of remaining bays. Bays to outer right closely grouped.

SE (REAR) ELEVATION: 2-storey extension to left bays, and extension to right bay, not seen, 1994.

Plate glass timber sash and case windows, except at ground, bay to right, modern swinging casement. Grey slate roof; ashlar mutual stack with No 9, rendered mutual stack with No 13.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1994.

BOUNDARY WALLS: squared sandstone and coped front wall, formerly with cast-iron railings, now with modern replacements.
