Description

Late 18th century. 2-storey, 3-bay house on sloping
ground, to High Street. White painted harl with painted
margins. Random whinstone rubble sides and rear,
sandstone dressings.
N ELEVATION: to High street: doorway to right of centre
with 4-pane strip fanlight. 1 window flanking to right,
2 windows to left. Window to each bay at 1st floor.
Window to each bay at 1st floor rear, lean-to addition at
ground.
Small attic opening to E gable wall.
Sash and case windows with 12-pane glazing pattern.
2 skylights at rear.
Red pantiles, straight skews, renewed brick stacks and
flashings.

Statement of Interest

B Group with 71 High Street. Accommodating a shopfront in

2 bays to left of door until recently; note surviving sign

bracket.
